about

In Donegal, there’s a saying about being a ‘soft day’. Meaning nothing too troubling, clear skies and non-threatening weather. The sea, on the other hand, is never as predictable and the Soft Sea can turn on you with violence unforeseen. I adore this turbulent nature uncompromising and undulating, never-ending, never dwelling, ever-present. It could be a metaphor for my life to be more like the sea, react with rage and uncompromising violence then it’s over, move on and entice the world to your will by emanating calmness again.

During these covid times, reflection and self-soothing is paramount. This is my contribution to soothe, not only myself but to you.

lyrics

A soft sea
expanse of grey
Bubbling clouds
scraped from above
A knife fight of sorts
clawing out grasping
beautiful hues
shine for a few

A soft sea
expanse of grey
Bubbling clouds
scraped from above
A knife fight of thoughts
clawing out grasping
beautiful hues
shine for a few
